Fishing for King Salmon at the mouth of the Rogue River in Gold Beach, Oregon has been amazing so far this summer. With the ocean being closed this year to protect salmon returning to California, we have seen a lot of salmon returning to the Rogue with lots of fish in the 30 pound range, and even a few in the 40’s.

The Spring Chinook Salmon run on the upper Rogue River has been nothing but consistent in 2022. We are having a strong run this year and the catch rates are showing that.

Spring Salmon can be tricky to catch, however very rewarding. It really helps when we have good numbers of fish to target.

I still have some availability, so get ahold of me if you want to go on a guided trip on the Rogue River in Southern Oregon.

Winter Steelhead Fishing has been steady in early to mid January, 2022. We’ve already experienced some really good days of catching, even though the season here is just getting going. A good sign of things to come for the next few months.
